Ruinart’s prestige cuvée, and only the 28th vintage of Dom Ruinart ever made: pure Chardonnay from Grand and Premier Cru villages — 70% Côte des Blancs (Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Bergères-lès-Vertus), 30% Montagne de Reims. A cool, late-picked year gives a precise, chiselled wine: toast, almond and patisserie on the nose, then grapefruit, bergamot and chalk, with a finish of white pepper and smoke.
